Community News July 2019

Welcome to our summer Community News!

It has been a busy few months at In Kind Direct, with the return of some of our network’s most needed products including copier paper, bedding, kitchenware and of course, toilet roll! We are also hugely grateful for the variety of new products which have been donated, including a range of tech supplies, toiletries (including shower gel) and white goods.

Thank you to everyone who entered our photo competition in May. We had over 60 entries and even if your photo didn’t win a prize this time, having new images of your work is vital for us to share the impact we are having with the companies that donate products to In Kind Direct.

We are also delighted to have published our 2019 Impact Report, highlighting the great successes and current challenges our network is facing. Thank you to everyone who completed our Impact Survey earlier this year and helped make the report possible!

Products You Love

Believe it or not, charities are already getting spruced up for Christmas! We’ve got lots of Christmas trees already being ordered by the forest load.

Here’s a lovely photo from St Pirans Playschool who run a pre-school for children of 2-5 years of age. Jo Nethercot, Manager, said last Christmas:

"The children had such a wonderful time helping decorate the tree.. Thank you for making this Christmas and future Christmases so magical."

Get in early for all the fun of the fir!

Star Photo

A huge thank you to everyone who entered our photo competition, we were delighted to see so many pictures, people and products!

Here’s one of our favourites from Fighting All Cancers Together (FACT), a wonderful charity which supports people suffering from cancer and their families. FACT not only provides assistance in the form of counselling and activity classes, but also carries out education and awareness for young people across the North East.
