COVID-19 – an update from In Kind Direct

We understand that the current pandemic is causing disruption and uncertainty for people, communities and businesses around the world. This update shares how we are continuing to give support today, and every day. We are committed to maintaining a reliable supply of products in the coming weeks and months. We can’t do this alone and need our generous product donors and funders to join us.

We are following the latest advice from Government and our senior management team is constantly reviewing the situation. In Kind Direct remains open for business as usual but our London staff are now working remotely. In recent weeks we have:

  • Spoken to our donor companies to keep on asking for the products needed to keep individuals and families well, entertained and to boost those feeling isolated or anxious.
  • Increased our warehouse staff to do our best to get the high volume of orders out to communities as quickly as we can. We’ve also got a great team making sure our online catalogue is updated with new arrivals.
  • Confirmed all our suppliers and couriers have robust plans in place so we can continue getting goods out.
  • Suspended payments by cheque so we are not reliant on staff being in the office.
We are here to help you and your community. Charitable organisations can join for free.

Donate products and we'll get them to where they are most needed. View the list of essentials here.

Help us carry on distributing supplies across the UK to those who are most vulnerable.

 Keep in touch

As we see a huge reduction in communal services and gatherings and an increase in remote working, it is easy to feel isolated. We are here and ready to keep on working with our partners however we can so keep in touch.
