With 280 charities across the country having benefited from their products already, we wanted to speak to Nina Jackson, Social Media Manager & Environmental Lead, to hear more about what motivated SharkNinja to join the product giving revolution!
Who is SharkNinja?

What is your role at SharkNinja?
I’m the Social Media Manager and Environmental Lead, so I manage all our UK social media communications as well as heading up our Environmental and Sustainability initiatives for the UK. A big part of my role is building and developing online communities, bringing together like-minded people. We take the same approach to growing our UK Corporate Social Responsibility programme, supporting grassroots organisations and charities with a shared commitment to making social change.
How/why did the partnership with In Kind Direct begin?
As a growing business, we’re in the amazing position of being able to help those who are less fortunate than ourselves. I’ve always been passionate about getting involved in a variety of charity activities, from knitting Christmas baubles to getting SharkNinja associates involved in fun runs. When I heard about product giving for social good, I reached out to see how we could work together. Working with In Kind Direct offers SharkNinja an incredible opportunity to give back to the community – in particular, we love that In Kind Direct work with grassroots organisations helping vulnerable people.


Tell us about your recent “Buy one Donate one” campaign, how did the idea come about, and were you pleased with the results?
Every Ninja product is designed to help you make quick, easy, healthy, delicious food – what better feeling for someone who is purchasing a Ninja blender than to be able to help someone in need to access nutritious, feel-good food at the same time? During the promotion, we donated a Nutri Ninja Blender & Smoothie Maker QB3001UKS to In Kind Direct for every one sold. It’s not uncommon to run a promotion offering customers something free with their purchase, but people aren’t necessarily just interested in getting freebies for themselves – many people want to contribute to something bigger and feel good about their actions.

Our organisations both share a commitment to supporting communities and helping people in need. SharkNinja’s mission statement is “positively impacting people’s lives every day in every home around the world” – what better way to make a positive impact than product giving for social good?
