We are determined to help the 4,000 charitable organisations relying on us to secure the goods they need to deliver their work in disadvantaged communities across the UK. Over the last few weeks, we have seen a dramatic spike in demand for essential household products including cleaning supplies, toilet roll, sanitary products and kitchen basics. While some are stocking up on supplies, those accessing the services of our network around the country simply don’t have this luxury.
It has been incredible to hear how charitable organisations are adapting and innovating as their services are in greater demand than ever before. In Liverpool, The Brain Charity has closed its community café to repurpose catering and food supplies and deliver meals-on-wheels to local residents. Many in our network are now delivering emergency packs to older people and families who are most vulnerable, to ensure the physical and mental wellbeing of their community. These packs include toilet roll, cleaning products, nappies, handwash, toiletries and dried food. Take a look at the full list, which we’re keeping updated as we speak to our partners every day.
"At Healthy Me, Healthy Communities we have had to close our Community Grocers and we are now actively working with our partners across Manchester to provide and deliver welfare packs to our members and people in isolation. Thanks to In Kind Direct’s efforts we can continue to support the vulnerable across Manchester. It is really appreciated and will go a long way to supporting us in this difficult time. "
Today the whole team at In Kind Direct continues to provide a full service for our charity partners with our increased warehouse team working overtime to get priority products out across the UK. We are working with our corporate partners to increase donations of vital products and many have offered additional support which is wonderful. If you are a manufacturer, retailer or supplier we urgently need your support to ensure a steady supply of life’s essentials to people in crisis. Please contact our Business Development team if you can help.
The Third Sector is being stretched beyond belief and needs urgent financial support from central government to meet the needs of people in our communities who rely on us to survive.
Like all charities we rely on the generosity of our supporters to keep going. Please help us carry on distributing supplies across the UK to those who are most vulnerable by supporting us today.
We know that together we can come through this time of uncertainty and thank all of our product donor companies, charity partners and supporters for all that you are doing to get essential products to those who need them most.
