Organise your fundraising event

20th anniversary

Let's get fundraising!

Like most charities, In Kind Direct relies on fundraising to deliver our work. Donations are crucial in helping us to ensure that even the smallest charities can benefit from our service. Donations also mean we can invest for the future and support more charities to deliver their essential work to the most vulnerable.

In Kind Direct’s model generates a powerful multiplier effect. Every pound donated is multiplied at least 12 times over in value of product distributed to charities working in the UK.

Find out how you can organise your own fundraising event in 3 easy steps! Or contribute to our current campaign here

Organising a fundraising event in 3 simple steps

1. Plan your event, set a target and let us know about it

Poster templates

Our 20 Fundraising Ideas Pack will give you lots of examples of easy and fun activities – but of course you can come up with your very own event. Create a checklist of everything you’ll need on the day, think about your target audience and when would be the most effective time/day to organise your activity. Make sure you read our Tips & Advice for Fundraising Events.

2. Set up your event page on JustGiving

Poster templates

There are many ways of collecting funds but we would recommend setting up an event page on JustGiving so that donations are easy, quick and effective. Plus, the monies donated can go the extra mile thanks to Gift Aid.

If you would prefer a paper-based collection form, no problem, please Email us at donations@inkinddirect.org

3. Communicate your event across your office

Poster templates

From posters to tweets, we’ve created a tool kit to make it easy for you to communicate your event to your colleagues and sponsors across your intranet, message boards and social media!

Other ways you can help

Match funding

Poster templates

A great incentive would be for your company to offer (regular/one-off) PAYROLL GIVING and MATCH FUNDING to encourage more people to take part and maximise funds raised. Please do get in touch with us to discuss these opportunities.

Donate funds

By donating funds to In Kind Direct, you are supporting thousands of charities throughout the UK.
