In Kind Direct – News Roundup

As we continue to supply life's essentials, our message is being heard

May 18 2020

In Kind Direct distributes essential supplies to a network of thousands of charitable organisations including community hubs, support and advice services and schools. In April, we saw a 120% increase in orders from our network and supported over 1,400 charity partners. As we continue to face an unprecedented demand for life's essentials, we remain hugely grateful to the donor companies offering their incredible support during the current crisis.

We are proud to be working with seven major brands and Blue Light Card to deliver “pick me up pallets” to NHS frontline staff across the country. Launched on International Nurses Day, Tuesday 12th May, the pallets will start going out to the 25 NHS Trusts involved in the project. With a mix of personal care items and treats, they are designed to support and put a smile on the faces of those working hard to save lives. This initiative is generously supported with donations from some of our #IKDPioneers.

Andrex®'s #ShareASquare campaign television advert

Launched on the 6th of April, the #ShareASquare campaign in partnership with Andrex® is designed to celebrate and support acts of generosity. Alongside their donation of 1 million toilet rolls, Andrex®, the UK’s leading toilet tissue brand will donate £1, up to £100,000, for each use of the hashtag between April 6 through June 1 2020. Throughout the month of May the #ShareASquare advert can also be spotted on the television! Get involved today and use #ShareASquare.

HRH The Prince of Wales is the Royal Founding Patron of In Kind Direct. In May, Clarence House released a series of tweets in support of our work during the crisis, as well as highlighting our work to support NHS frontline workers in partnership with Blue Light Card.
