October Community News 2019

Welcome to our autumn Community News!

We’ve been busy again this summer, dispatching 4,950 orders and hosting our third Big Community Picnic! In August we welcomed hundreds of children and their carers to enjoy activities, ice-cream music from KIDZ BOP! and a visit from some special Toy Story 4 friends. A huge thank you to over a hundred volunteers from our fantastic product donor companies who helped us on the day.

In September we launched our free Impact Assessment Guide.  Working with PwC and a pilot group of charities in our network, we’ve created a step-by-step guide designed to help charitable organisations wherever they are on their impact journey. With a greater understanding of impact, both companies and charitable organisations can communicate the social value they deliver together. Read more and request your free copy now.

Our warehouse is now gearing up for the festive period, don’t forget last orders for delivery by Christmas must be completed by midday, Monday 16 December!

Products You Love

Here’s a lovely photo from the Multiple Abilities Club who are a club run for disabled and able bodied people to come together and have fun! Carole Haw, Trustee, said:

“We are a club for all, where everyone is equal regardless of disability. These products help our members live independently. We appreciate your support.”

We’ve got plenty more in stock, so it won’t be a case of “hair today, gone tomorrow”.

Star Photo

We recently received this fantastic photo from one of our longstanding partners Mencap Sheffield & Gateway who support over 300 adults and children with learning difficulties across South Yorkshire!

Paper may seem like a run-of-the-mill product but this stock certainly flew out the door! If you use products from In Kind Direct in your offices, we’d love to see them in action. Photos can be emailed to the Charities Team.

Spotlight: Enterprise

This summer, we were delighted to launch our newest partnership with Enterprise! In recent years, many of our network have said that discounted vehicle hire would be useful to run and expand their vital services. So we set the wheels in motion and now, organisations in our network including their staff, volunteers and families can save up to 10% on vehicle rental. With over 470 locations in the UK, Enterprise is always nearby! To benefit from the scheme, find out more here.
