On Giving Tuesday 2019, a number of our longstanding partners pledged to donate products to In Kind Direct and fully embraced product giving.
Our mission is to ensure everyone has access to life's essentials and that no usable product goes to waste. We cannot achieve this without the ongoing commitment and generosity of our donor companies.

The Manifesto
In 2017, to celebrate our 20th anniversary, In Kind Direct commissioned PwC to undertake some research and analysis of the product giving sector. As a follow-up to the research’s findings, we published our Manifesto ‘Join the Product Giving Revolution’. The Manifesto sets out clear commitments for In Kind Direct and donor companies to meet the challenges of the future and generate more social impact. 24 manufacturers and retailers signed it at the time.
In 2019, we called upon these signatories and a number of our other partner companies to donate and pledge products as part of Giving Tuesday.
What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is a global day dedicated to giving back. A day where everyone, everywhere can do something to support the good causes and communities that mean so much to them. It is a day to celebrate and encourage giving in all its forms. Giving Tuesday started in the US in 2012 as a day to give back. It harnessed the power of social media and collaboration to inspire millions of people right across the world to come together on one day. Giving Tuesday generally kicks off the charitable season and the end-of-year giving.
